Network Power Consumption is Focus for SCTE’s Benelux Lecture during IBC

The Benelux Group of the SCTETM (the Society for Broadband Professionals) will hold its next Benelux lecture during the IBC exhibition on 17 September at the RAI Centre, Amsterdam. Entitled “Power Consumption of Communication Networks”, this free event will feature speakers from key players in the industry including Coppervale, Stratix and Smart 21 Inc.

Various networks such as HFC, FttH and xDSL will be considered as well as the in-home networking situation. The lecture meeting, which starts at 09.30 in the Emerald Room at the RAI Centre, will provide greater insight into network power generation issues for operators. The Benelux Group is one of a number of regional groups that are part of the worldwide SCTETM organisation, the global non-profit body that aims to raise the standard of broadband engineering in the telecommunications industry. Presentations and speakers at the event include:

The half-day lecture meeting is hosted by the SCTETM Benelux Group and is free of charge for all participants, both members and non-members. All papers presented will be available for SCTETM members to download from the SCTETM website (www.thescte.eu) after the event.
