Editor

Fuze, a leader in voice, video, and collaboration, announces the appointment of Florian Zenner as Area Vice President of Southern Europe and Emerging Markets. He will lead Fuze operations from a new Zurich office, with a focus on building sales and market share in Switzerland, Italy, Iberia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

Florian has a proven ability to create and scale high performing sales operations within global software businesses and has established clear national and international growth strategies for companies including EMC, Documentum, Infor and Lithium Technologies. He will use this experience to create opportunities for Fuze in new EMEA markets, building continued momentum as the company gears up to dominate the global unified communications as a service (UCaaS) market.

This latest investment forms part of Fuze’s aggressive global expansion program, following $112 million in funding secured in February 2016. This year, Fuze has opened offices in France and Germany, and set up a new APAC headquarters in Sydney, Australia, to run alongside existing business operations in the UK, the Netherlands, Denmark and North America.

“For Fuze to meet its aggressive plans to disrupt the global UCaaS market, it is critical we bring on board the very best in sales management talent in every region. Florian joins an impressive senior team in Europe, bringing a wealth of experience in rapidly scaling software sales operations, which will enable us to quickly establish Fuze as the first-choice UCaaS provider across the region,” said Luca Lazzaron, Senior Vice President of International Operations, Fuze.

Fuze is a global, cloud-based unified communications platform that enables simplified business voice communications, flexible video conferencing, and always-on collaboration. In 2015, the company grew revenue by more than 100%, adding more than 175 new customers and expanding existing customer relationships. In September 2015, Fuze (previously ThinkingPhones), was positioned by Gartner, Inc. as a Visionary in its 2015 Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service, Worldwide report.
