Company set to unveil its innovative solutions for defense including new conversion modules, vehicle antennas and ruggedized connectors for harsh environments

HUBER+SUHNER, a leading international manufacturer of components and systems for electrical and optical connectivity, is set to showcase its innovative solutions for the defense market at DSEI 2015 in London, 15-18 September. Uniting its technical expertise in radio frequency, fiber optics and low frequency technology under one roof at the London show, the company will demonstrate its leading solutions for defense industry as it unveils its new RF-over-Fiber series.

The company will also show a range of key solutions for the defense industry including its innovative antennas and connectors for harsh environments.

HUBER+SUHNER’s new RF-over-Fiber series combines two core technologies in a single solution, providing future-proofing for networks based on RF as they transition to fiber or hybrid RF and fiber architectures.

HUBER+SUHNER will be showcasing three different elements of its RF-over-Fiber solutions at the London event next month including; RF-over-Fiber, GPS-over-Fiber and LAN-over-Fiber technologies.

RF-over-Fiber
The RF-over-Fiber module converts analog RF signals into fiber signals and vice versa. With a wide frequency range and excellent stability, frequency jitter and phase noise performance, the company’s latest solution is rapidly becoming a key part for command & control, naval and airborne applications.

GPS-over-Fiber
The GPS-over-Fiber connector offers a very high stability in addition to excellent performance in phase noise and frequency jitter in applications such as remote antenna connection in GPS systems.

LAN-over-Fiber
The LAN-over-Fiber module supports the IEEE802.3 standard 1000 Base-SX fiber. It enables copper connections to interface with fiber connections over a distance up to 500m. It does so by converting copper media into fiber media and vice versa.

Antennas and connectors for harsh environments
An essential part of today’s sophisticated tactical communication and electronic countermeasure (ECM) applications, HUBER+SUHNER’s wideband vehicle antennas will also be on show. With its extremely robust design, compact slim shape and minimum installation effort, HUBER+SUHNER’s vehicle antennas are designed to provide maximum performance and durability.

The company will also showcase its solutions for interconnection in harsh environments with its QMA-XQMA and its QN-XQN connectors.
