Network with senior decision makers from operators from across the region at the sixth annual conference

LTE Latin America, the only dedicated LTE event in the region, is returning for its sixth annual conference between 7-9 April 2015 in Rio de Janeiro to bring together operators, regulators, ministers, vendors and analysts to explore the latest LTE trends and to provide ample networking opportunities. Brazil is the largest telecom services market in Latin America, with an estimated revenue of US$60.1bn in 2014, and with the Olympic Games being held in the country in 2016, the figures are set to keep rising, which is why this year’s event is more popular than ever.

Commenting on the expected regional growth, Nishi Verma Nangia, Senior Analyst, Operator Strategy, Ovum, said: “Ovum forecasts Latin America to be a growing roaming opportunity, with mobile roaming revenues expected to grow at a CAGR of 8% over the forecast period. Similar to other regions, the greatest return is expected to come from mobile data roaming, which is expected to grow at CAGR of 12%.”

The event will host 700+ delegates, 40% of which represent operators, and aims to further educate key decision makers in the LTE ecosystem on how to capitalise on network and service innovation in Latin America. This year’s event will provide more networking opportunities than ever, providing the perfect platform to meet with senior decision makers from operators from across the region.

“With the growth in Latin America continuing and the latest reports from Ovum showing the scale of this growth, LTE Latin America provides the perfect platform to discuss the opportunities and challenges this will bring. With representation from all the regions key players, the conference comes at the opportune time,” added Sam Oakley, Events Director, Informa Telecoms & Media.

Key topics that will be on focus this year include: VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Cloud RAN, HetNets/Small Cells, SON, NFV, SDN and how to move towards LTE-A and 5G. This year’s agenda echoes these themes and boasts an extended and more focussed conference programme and includes a top speaker line up including Leonardo Capdeville, CTO, Tim Brasil; Alexandre Olivari, VAS & Roaming Director, Claro and Atila Araujo Branco, Technology and Planning Director, Telefonica Vivo.
