Market Focus to Take Centre Stage at ECOC Exhibition in London
Nexus Business Media Ltd, organiser of the ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communications) 2013 exhibition, which this year is being held in London, has now announced the hot-topics for its successful Market Focus sessions.
Now in its eighth year the Market Focus, sponsored by Oclaro, is once again set to be the highlight of the optical communications calendar addressing topical issues from around the industry. Professionals are being called to submit their interest in speaking for the opportunity to share their work and industry related news at Europe’s largest optical show.
This year’s programme features a broad selection of informative and on-trend optical communications sessions and topics including datacentres: optics in cloud computing, future applications, optical network agility and software defined networks, service provider optical transmission, optical integration and digital silicon photonics, packet-optical transport and mass market broadband fibre access.
The topics have been decided by the ECOC exhibition Advisory Panel, which includes global representatives from independent industry bodies, analyst groups, system vendors, telecom operators and component manufacturers.
“The Market Focus is one of the highlights of the exhibition and we have worked tremendously hard over the years to make it the success it is today,” said Beverley Lucas, Group Event Manager for Nexus Business Media Ltd, organisers of the ECOC exhibition. “We broke all attendance and speaker records in 2012 and are keen to continue to deliver a truly focused and successful 2013 Market Focus. The sessions are spread over three days enabling attendees an opportunity to attend sessions, mingle and explore what the ECOC exhibition has to offer.”
In 2012, the Market Focus attracted over 1,700 attendees and witnessed exciting presentations from Google, NTT Electronics America, Ovum, Oclaro, ADVA, FTTH Council Europe and many more.
“2013’s Market Focus will truly be the pillar of the optical industry to speak at and every year we get a great host of speakers who have always made an outstanding contribution and set the agenda for years to come,” Beverley added.
