The Kenton Group Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

Global network access specialist, The Kenton Group, has today announced that it has appointed Ben Howarth as its new Chief Technology Officer. With over 25 years experience, Mr. Howarth is a veteran in the telecoms sector, and joins at a time when The Kenton Group is looking to further expand the its services and product portfolio.

The role will see Mr. Howarth work across the management team in order to strengthen existing processes. His focus will be on bringing structure, process and conformity to the engineering departments, driving revenue through services, as well as managing the resourcing and usage of R&D. Mr. Howarth will also look into future trends and defining a progressive strategy for the coming years.

Mr. Howarth has a wide range of experience in the core and edge IP communications space. Prior to joining The Kenton Group, he held strategic positions at major brands including; Case Communications, Ericsson, Siemens, OneAccess and Juniper, where he became the first Systems Engineer for the Middle East region in 2001. From 2011 Mr. Howarth spearheaded his own sales consulting company which focussed on carrier edge networking.

Mr. Howarth added: “The Kenton Group has been on an amazing journey over the last five years. Mr Howarth’s appointment follows a record financial year and continued expansion, with its latest results showing a growth rate in excess of 40 per cent, for the past year alone. This affirms itself as one of the world’s fastest growing network access specialists.
