{"id":4862,"date":"2015-09-14T10:05:03","date_gmt":"2015-09-14T10:05:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.telecomstalk.com\/?p=4862"},"modified":"2018-06-06T10:05:13","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T10:05:13","slug":"hellas-sat-chooses-newtec-to-power-new-dth-earth-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.telecomstalk.com\/?p=4862","title":{"rendered":"Hellas Sat Chooses Newtec to Power New DTH Earth Station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Contract for the multimillion EUR project was signed today at IBC 2015<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hellas-sat.net\/\">Hellas Sat<\/a>, a subsidiary of Arab Satellite Communications Organization \u2013 the leading satellite provider in the Middle East and North Africa \u2013 today announced it has chosen Newtec\u2019s solutions to power a new multimillion Euro Direct-to-Home (DTH) earth station. <\/p>\n<p>Located in Cyprus, the earth station will broadcast up to 70 TV channels, ten percent of which will be delivered in High Definition (HD). Most of the content will be received via different Television Receive-Only (satellite dishes) (TVROs) and all content will be transcoded and re-multiplexed into different bouquets, which are then uplinked via Arabsat\u2019s BADR satellites.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newtec.eu\/\">Newtec<\/a>, a specialist in designing, developing and manufacturing equipment and technologies for satellite communications, will be the prime contractor, designer and integrator of the entire DTH earth station.
