Pioneering technology company, telent, has been awarded a 5-star supplier status by the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS).<\/p>\n
RISQS provides a service for the qualification of suppliers for products and services that are procured by the railway industry. The industry represented consists of railway buying organisations such as Network Rail, LUL\/Transport for London, train operating companies, freight operating companies and light rail operators.<\/p>\n
Suppliers must prove their capability to supply products and services, including safety critical products and services, through an in depth qualification assessment.
\nCompliance against both the industry wide assurance requirements, as set out by the RISQS Board, and specific infrastructure requirements as defined by the relevant Infrastructure Managers must be demonstrated.<\/p>\n
telent\u2019s thorough RISQS assessment was conducted over four and a half days, examining a number of areas including management systems and structure, health and safety controls, implementation of policies, supply chain management and competence management to name a few.<\/p>\n
Following the assessment, the company was awarded four stars which is the highest pass available, for the second year running, resulting in telent achieving a 5-star RISQS supplier status.<\/p>\n
