Dialogue Group launches global SMART initiative to address \u2018grey\u2019 messaging<\/em><\/p>\n

Dialogue Group \u2013 the longest established international SMS messaging company with almost 21 years\u2019 experience across the industry worldwide \u2013 has unveiled a global A2P (Application-to-Person) SMS initiative to help Enterprises fight back against grey messaging routes which may breach local data protection laws. This follows last week\u2019s Enterprise Mobility Summit in Australia, which focused on leveraging mobile technology and services to improve operational efficiency, productivity and customer service delivery. <\/p>\n

Dialogue\u2019s A2P SMART (Secure Monetisation of Application Related Traffic) Hub will support Enterprises which may not know their messages are being routed via International grey routes. Messages transiting grey routes expose customer data to unknown intermediaries who are often based in third world countries, leading to disorderly markets, damaging levels of spam, and potential security threats, all of which are sources of poor customer experience and increased churn. <\/p>\n

Dialogue\u2019s SMART approach to managing A2P traffic will help Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) operators eliminate grey route traffic and enable the recipient networks to generate and keep the revenues they deserve while increasing security levels and reducing threats. Grey messages can stress interconnect signalling links, potentially leading to unsuccessful and dropped calls, which can destroy significant revenues that should rightfully flow to MNO\u2019s. <\/p>\n

Peter Neal, Global Director of Products at Dialogue Group, said: \u201cEnterprises should demand that their messages are only routed via official on-net carrier channels to ensure the safety of their customer’s data. With two factor verification being used as an added security feature, the 100% on-net SMART A2P Hub we are launching benefits the operator by reducing unwanted traffic entering the network, such as SPAM, and the Enterprise as it ensures the messages they send are secure and protected.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dialogue has already formed successful partnerships with many of the world\u2019s MNO\u2019s because they realise the enormous benefits they can gain from managing this problem. However of the top 400 network operators, over 200 are still to take action. In most cases this is because they do not realise the extent to which \u2018grey route\u2019 messaging passes through their network, and have no sense therefore of the loss of income and damage to customer satisfaction that it is causing. <\/p>\n
