{"id":3708,"date":"2014-09-03T14:30:55","date_gmt":"2014-09-03T14:30:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.telecomstalk.com\/?p=3708"},"modified":"2018-06-06T10:11:32","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T10:11:32","slug":"g-hn-achieves-country-level-milestone-in-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.telecomstalk.com\/?p=3708","title":{"rendered":"G.hn Achieves Country Level Milestone in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News Highlights <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mainland China and Taiwan harmonize on G.hn as their \u201csmart home\u201d wireline home network technology<\/li>\n<li>Taiwan\u2019s Institute for Information Industry (III) has played a leading role in this effort<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For several years, there have been meetings between Mainland China and Taiwan on harmonizing technology under the banner of the \u201cCross-Strait Forum on Information Industry and Technology Standards\u201d (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sinocon.org.tw\/achievement\/?G=1&amp;K=12\">http:\/\/www.sinocon.org.tw\/achievement\/?G=1&amp;K=12<\/a>). This is jointly organized by China\u2019s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Taiwan\u2019s SINOCON Industrial Standards Foundation.\u00a0 A recent important conclusion was that G.hn is to be the standard for wireline home networks for both Mainland China and Taiwan.<\/p>\n<p>At the Xian meeting, III led a delegation of Taiwanese companies involved in smart home devices, home networks and their components, including Metanoia, Realtek, and Allion Test Labs. The Taiwanese delegation included such industry leaders as Lai Junheng, vice-president of Allion, Wu Jiande, president of Metanoia Communications and Dr. Ko Hsien-Tang, director general of III.
