The SCTE is to hold its Autumn Lecture and Annual General Meeting at the Royal College of Surgeons in Lincoln\u2019s Inn Fields next week. Held on 29th October in the Eleanor Colley-Davies Lecture Theatre (LT2) of the RCS, the SCTE Autumn Lecture focuses on the theme of \u201cManaging the Overheads.\u201d<\/p>\n
The programme will include topics around trends in cabling, subscriber Quality of Experience and cable training plus LTE and 4K. Presenters include Martin Karlsson, Deputy CTO of Net Insight talking on \u201cIP QoS Objectives for Broadcast Service,\u201d and the Chairman of Broadband Training Ltd., Chris Swires, and Mike Thornton, SCTE\u2019s Training Committee Chairman, will present new broadband\/cable training materials. <\/p>\n
In addition, Brian Stevenson from Seawell Networks will talk on the subject of \u201cScaling Content Delivered over Managed IP and OTT Networks,\u201d and Jan Ariesen, Chief Technical Officer of Technetix, will cover: \u201cStretching the Capex of the HFC Network.\u201d The event will be followed by the SCTE\u2019s AGM and finally a cocktail party at 5.30pm in the RCS\u2019s Hunterian Museum.<\/p>\n
