February 21, 2013 | EditorThe SCTE (Society for Broadband Professionals) has confirmed that two of Virgin Media’s cable engineers are the proud recipients of its FTTH Conference 2013 bursary. This bursary allows SCTE members, who would otherwise be unable to go to the event organised by the FTTH Council Europe, the opportunity to benefit from attending the show held at London’s ExCeL centre from 20-21 February. This bursary, a result of the long-standing relationship between the FTTH Council Europe and the SCTE, demonstrates the benefits of SCTE membership by encouraging engineers in their careers. Nominations are invited by the end of January 2013. The awards recognise the achievements of companies and individuals in the broadband arena and will be presented during the SCTE Gala Dinner on Saturday 23 March 2013 (Drapers’ Hall, London, UK).
