With less than three months until the doors open on Europe’s leading cloud computing event, the Cloud Computing World Forum 2012 (www.cloudwf.com), organisers have announced that one of the technology industry’s most renowned figures, John Sculley, will be delivering the show’s opening keynote.

Mr. Sculley, who will present his discussion “Looking at Technology Innovation from the CEO’s Perspective”, is a distinguished business leader, having previously held CEO roles at two of the world’s biggest organisations – Apple and PepsiCo.

During his period in charge of PepsiCo in the late 70s and early 80s, Mr. Sculley was responsible for overseeing the market innovations “Pepsi Generation” and “Pepsi Challenge” which helped propel the company to become the largest selling packaged consumer brand in America.

And in his role as CEO of Apple between 1983 and 1993, he helped launch Apple’s 1984 Apple Macintosh, Desktop Publishing, and the Apple Powerbook. During this time, Sculley’s working relationship with the late Steve Jobs became, and remains, one of the most high-profile topics of discussion throughout the world of business.

Since leaving Apple, John Sculley has helped build a number of transformational technology-enabled companies in information technology, financial services, telecommunication and healthcare, as well as playing a key role in mentoring serial entrepreneurs and CEOs.

He currently holds a role as Managing Partner, alongside former EDS and Perot Systems CEO, Mort Meyerson, for InflexionPoint, an IT and financial services investment firm. The company has offices in London, Delhi, Dallas, Boca Raton, Florida and Toronto.

Mr. Sculley joins a list of over 150 industry experts already confirmed to speak at the Cloud Computing World Forum, including Minister for the UK Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, CTO for Amazon, Werner Vogels, Chief Scientist for Salesforce.com, JP Rangaswami, CISO for eBay, Dave Cullinane, and many more.

The seminar agenda will be held across 8 theatres covering all of the latest topics in cloud, including SaaS, Security, Big Data, PaaS, Mobile, Public Sector, Virtualization, Communications, Social CRM and more.

Delegates attending the Cloud Computing World Forum will also have access to the exhibition hall where over 100 global exhibitors from the enterprise technology sector will be in attendance, displaying their latest and most innovative cloud computing products and solutions.

Sponsors of the show include Microsoft, Google, Accenture, Dell, Intel, McAfee, Huawei, Safenet and Savvis.
