As the US fiber optic market moves at headlong pace towards a predicted USD 3.56 billion by 2025, test and measurement equipment \u2013 and advanced splicing equipment \u2013 has never been more important. This was the strong message given to the industry today on the opening day of the International Cable Expo (SCTE \u2013 ISBE Cable-Tec) in Atlanta.<\/p>\n
INNO Instrument \u2013 headquartered in Korea but with a growing US base in Dallas, Texas, for the past six years \u2013 has become a world leader in fiber equipment technology and now has a global network covering 90 countries.<\/p>\n
It comes to Atlanta with its largest ever presence and its North America Sales Director \u2013 speaking on the opening morning \u2013 urged service providers and fiber installers to demand the highest standards as they commit to the infrastructure of the 5G, IoT world of the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe all know that with the incredible bandwidth demands being put on the network right across the US and globally, that fibers are going to be carrying unprecedented levels of traffic,\u201d said Mr. Chris Layton, Sales Director of Inno Instrument America Inc.<\/p>\n
\u201cRight now, we are talking about video, emails and calls but very soon a greater proportion of this traffic will be enabling the instant world of 5G, IoT and even AI. We must be ready and we must have a fiber network that is connected through world-class splicing techniques and backed up by the very best test and measurement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese requirements are not an option \u2013 they are mandatory if the world is to move forward and fully embrace the future,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
At the Expo, INNO Instrument will introduce the entire lineup of its of fusion splicers and test and measurement equipment instruments. This will include the US debut of the ‘VIEW 900’ which launched in the second half of this year and represents a total network solution for the 5G communication network.<\/p>\n
VIEW 900 is a cable antenna analyzer that inspects communication defects and losses of various types of cell site transmission lines including cell phone base stations. It is used to measure and analyze the power loss ratio due to mismatch of antenna and RF cable, defect location of disconnection and RF cable damages.<\/p>\n
The VIEW 900 has earned the industry’s respect with its excellent user convenience as well as accurate and secure RF measurement capabilities. It features a high-resolution touch screen, an intuitive user interface (GUI) composed of graphics, and a high-capacity battery that can be used for a long time, making it easy for anyone to use.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a great opportunity for visitors to experience our technology for themselves, which we feel set the standard of optical fiber splicing equipment in the world; equipped with excellent ability to cope with various environment variables that are all part of optical cable installation work,\u201d said Mr. Layton.<\/p>\n
Only last month in Europe, INNO Instrument also participated in ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communication), the largest optical communication exhibition in Europe and introduced its range to local industry stakeholders and shared the technical know-how on optical communication infrastructure construction.<\/p>\n
Cable Tech Expo 2018 is the world’s leading telecommunication cable exhibition organized by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE).
