{"id":6143,"date":"2016-09-09T15:27:52","date_gmt":"2016-09-09T15:27:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.telecomstalk.com\/?p=6143"},"modified":"2018-06-06T09:56:31","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T09:56:31","slug":"strategic-partnership-arabsat-newtec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.telecomstalk.com\/?p=6143","title":{"rendered":"Strategic Partnership Between Arabsat and Newtec"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) and Newtec \u2013 a specialist in designing, developing and manufacturing equipment and technologies for satellite communications \u2013 have announced an expansion of their partnership, enabling optimized solutions for broadcast and telecom customers. <\/p>\n<p>Signed today during IBC 2016, the new contract will see Newtec provide Arabsat with its Newtec Dialog\u00ae multiservice platform to enhance the operator\u2019s Direct-to-Home (DTH) services, as well as its offerings in government and telecom markets.<\/p>\n<p>Newtec Dialog is a multiservice platform which enables tailored services and guarantees optimal modulation and bandwidth allocation, whether it is being used to provide enterprise, consumer broadband, cellular backhaul or mobility services. It features three return technologies \u2013 MF-TDMA, SCPC and Newtec\u2019s unique Mx-DMA\u00ae \u2013 ensuring maximum bandwidth efficiency and return on investment. Newtec\u2019s solution for Arabsat also incorporates its pre-distortion technology Equalink\u00ae, which can provide an additional 15% of data traffic in the same satellite capacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to be able to expand our collaboration with Newtec,\u201d said Arabsat\u2019s CEO Khalid Balkheyour. \u201cAs well as offering very efficient technology, the pre-sales support and training and certification program Newtec provides means the company was the perfect choice of partner for upcoming projects.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The training and certification delivered by Newtec is professionally run by experienced engineers, familiar with the challenges Arabsat and its customers face and includes a comprehensive online examination program and online renewals. The certification is recognized globally and will ensure Arabsat gets the most out of the Newtec equipment installed. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a leading satellite operator, proven solutions which will enable optimized services for its customers are incredibly important for Arabsat and we are delighted to have been able to meet the requirements for Arabsat\u2019s next-generation services,\u201d said Serge Van Herck, CEO of Newtec. \u201cAdditionally, taking part in our training and certification program means an even better service will be provided to Arabsat\u2019s end-customers, while the operator will benefit from increased efficiency and effectiveness of operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Delegates attending IBC 2016 can find Arabsat in hall 1, stand B38, and can view a demo of Newtec\u2019s Mx-DMA technology at the Newtec booth in hall 1, stand A49.
