Fujikura Europe has upgraded its fibre fusion splicer range with the launch of a new product – the 22S – a new advanced FTTH splicer for single fibre which is the world\u2019s smallest and lightest active V-groove model.<\/p>\n
The latest addition to Fujikura\u2019s splicer family adds to the company\u2019s portfolio to deliver a complete offering of splicing options from the basic, with the 12S, to the very advanced, which is met by the flagship 70S, and everything in between.<\/p>\n
The 22S is designed for high-end FTTH splicer applications in FTTX, Data Centre \/ LAN and Access Networks and offers an active V-groove alignment single fibre splicer for reliable and improved splicing performance for a range of different fibres; SMF, MMF, DSF, NZDSF.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur new 22S splicer is an incredibly exciting product which allows customers to opt for a level of splicing in between the 12S and 70S,\u201d said Neil Bessant, Fusion Splicer Divisional Manager at Fujikura Europe. \u201cIt is a unique product, in that it delivers high-quality splicing without a higher price tag.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 22S provides advanced capabilities, including splice result storage of 200 splices and 5-16mm short cleave length splicing. Weighing just 1.1kg including battery, it delivers 200 splice\/tube heating cycles per full battery charge.<\/p>\n
