Next month\u2019s ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communications) Exhibition, is already set to be smashing record highs, with visitor registrations already up by 42%, exhibition stand bookings on the increase and a speaker line-up for the Market Focus resembling a \u201cwho\u2019s who\u201d of the industry.<\/p>\n
The three days of the Market Focus have been divided into three main topic areas \u2013 Optical Integration and Digital Photonics, Optical Network Advances and Service Providers and Networks. Companies and organisations represented include Google, Oclaro, NEC Corporation, Ciena, Ovum, Infinera, Vodafone, Alcatel-Lucent, JDSU, the FTTH Council and many more.<\/p>\n
Speakers include Mike Short, former head of BT and President of the IET, Yves LeMaitre, COO of Oclaro, Jorg-Peter Elbers, Director at ADVA and Atul Srivastava, CTO at NTT Electronics America.<\/p>\n

Attendance at the Market Focus is looking to top the thousand mark for the first time, with the first sessions starting on the opening day \u2013 September 17 \u2013 at 12.15pm with a topical presentation from Mike Short, entitled \u201cThe data revolution and some digital lessons from the London 2012 Games\u201d.<\/p>\n
